IHG signs new Crowne Plaza hotel in India
Despite the challenging times, InterContinental Hotels Group continues to expand its portfolio.
IHG just signed a management agreement to introduce the Crowne Plaza brand in Lucknow, Northern India.
The 110-room hotel is expected to open in late 2024.
It will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a bar and a club lounge, as well as meeting and function space, outdoor pool and fitness centre.
It is located a short drive from both the city centre and airport.
"The tourism landscape in the city has grown over the years, and we are confident that it will continue to evolve in the mid-long term as Lucknow becomes an attractive destination for travellers," said Pascal Gauvin, IHG’s managing director for India, Middle East and Africa.
IHG currently has 36 hotels across India and has another 45 in development.
