IHG signs two new hotels in Mazatlan
Intercontinental Hotel Group plans to open two more hotels in Mexican vacation hotspot Mazatlan.
IHG has announced the signing of the Holiday Inn Express Mazatln Marina and Holiday Inn Resort Mazatln, both due to open in late 2016.
"With these signings, IHG continues its strong growth in Mexico and we are delighted to bring these new properties to Mazatln, an amazing destination known for its beautiful beaches," said Jorge Apaez, IHG chief operating officer Mexico, Latin America & The Caribbean.
IHG currently operates the Crowne Plaza Mazatln resort in the resort town.
The 150-room Holiday Inn Resort Mazatlan hotel is located in the Golden Zone tourist district, and will comprise an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, two meeting rooms, a restaurant ana lobby bar.
The 124-room Holiday Inn Express Mazatlan Marina is sited a short distance away in a mixed-use development with a shopping center, apartments and restaurants.
