India puts Boeing 737 aircraft under ‘enhanced surveillance’
Indian regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation has put all Boeing 737 jets operated by Indian airlines on special ‘enhanced surveillance. It comes in the wake of the China Eastern Airlines air crash in the province of Guangxi, China.
It involved a Boeing 737-800 plane. It was carrying 132 people with no survivors reported. “We are closely studying the situation. In the interim, we are focusing on enhanced surveillance of our 737 fleets,” DGCA’s chief Arun Kumar.
