Insight in Travelzoo’s testing of its deals
Travelzoo not only has millions of consumers turning to its Web site for travel deals but also operates a less well-known “Test Booking Center” that screens and “test books” deals before and during publication, officials say.
“Top 20 deals,” for example, are tested before publication and up to four times a day while running in Travelzoo’s publications.
For the 300+ travel companies who promote their specials on Travelzoo, this constant user feedback has become a source of information that helps improve both the customer experience and the likelihood that lookers become bookers, says Christie Ly, director of public relations.
The Chicago-based Test Booking Center employs agents that constantly and anonymously check for potential problems such as the availability of the offer, the correct listing of pricing and amenities, and any hidden terms and conditions, she added.
