Inspirational travel agent dies aged 41
The industry has been paying its respects to Lisa Parkes, business partner at Beacon Travel, who passed away in her sleep earlier this month after losing a fight against cancer.
Lisa, who was just 41, leaves behind her husband Ian and two sons aged 7 and 11.
She represented the East Sussex independent agent at ABTA and was the Southern rep for the Council of Regions.
In a tribute, ABTA described her as "passionate, fun, energetic, enthusiastic and an inspirational person".
"She will be missed by all her colleagues in the travel industry, especially Paul and the staff at Beacon Travel. Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time," said an ABTA spokesman.
Beacon Travel has a book of condolence. If you would like to add a message please contact [email protected].
The funeral is taking place on Wednesday 20 June in Royal Tunbridge Wells.
