Instant Online Booking of Activities
RedBalloon Pty Ltd, the Sydney based operator of the successful RedBalloon Days online experience-based gift giving business (www.redballoondays.com.au) has just announced the launch of its latest initiative; GoDo – www.godo.com.au.
GoDo is Australia’s first national instant booking website for activities and experiences. Customers can quickly and conveniently book from a range of up to 1600 unique experiences and activities including quad biking, dolphin watching, luxury pampers or helicopter flights – there’s something to suit everyone. By this time next year the range will have more than doubled.
“The lack of real-time online product availability and booking has been the achilles heal of the activities and experiences market,” says Peter Simson, CEO of GoDo.
”Instant online booking is now expected by customers, as it is for flights, car hire and accommodation”.
GoDo boasts the largest range and national coverage of any instant online activities portal in Australia, including government agencies. This ideally positions GoDo as a service provider for inbound tourism, local tourism, the local weekend “things to see and do” market, and people wanting to arrange activities for groups including friends, work colleagues, and social clubs.
Quite apart from enhanced access to these services for customers, GoDo represents a major breakthrough in providing market access for thousands of supplier businesses. It uses the latest online booking technologies developed by GoDo. Simson expects a significant knock-on effect in terms of sustainability of employment amongst these businesses.
“The initial response by customers and launch partners has been overwhelming. We are finding a rapid uptake by individuals who are getting together to do activities and experiences, because they now have visibility of what is available and can confirm arrangements immediately”, says Simson.
You don’t have to wait for your dates to be confirmed or your tickets to arrive. Just select the date, location and activity, and once you’ve booked, you’ll get an email confirming all the details. Alternatively you can print them directly from the website – it’s as simple as that.
“Our focus is to make our product and technology available to major branded distribution channels via white label integration. Major brands including American Express’ Travelscene, lastminute.com.au, NRMA, WOTIF, CitySearch, Britz Campervans and Maui Motorhomes have already grasped the opportunity”, says Simson.
