InteleTravel agent numbers continue to grow

Saturday, 21 Jun, 2022 0

Home-working firm InteleTravel has boosted the number of UK agents by 9% to 11,524 since January.

An increasing number from outside the industry joined the group as travel restarted following the pandemic.

New entrants were tempted by InteleTravel’s low-cost entry into the industry.

Agents pay a one-off joining fee of £142 and a monthly fee of just £32 a month.

Meanwhile, holiday bookings among InteleTravel agents remained strong in that period, with no sign of a drop-off despite airport and flight disruption, and the cost-of-living crisis.

InteleTravel’s bookings between January and May are up 62% on the same period in 2021 and up 90% on the same period in 2019.

Its top 10 individual sales totalled £288,822 in May, an average of £28,882 per transaction.

Spain, Greece and Portugal have been the top Mediterranean destinations with Turkey and Cyprus also popular.
