InteleTravel enters Ireland travel agent market

Saturday, 08 Mar, 2023 0

InteleTravel officially launched in Ireland, with over 200 Irish travel agents inducted.

An Irish website www.InteleTravel.com.co rolled out, and partner contracts were negotiated to allow trading in euros.

Mandatory training relevant to the Ireland requirements has been introduced for travel agents.

An events programme kicked off with an Ireland Agent Welcome held at Dublin Airport.

It includes partner webinars and a full day of Dream Maker training on April 1.

Mandatory training includes a full understanding of the Package Holidays and Travel Trade Act, Tour Operator Payment Protection System (TOPPS).

It also encompasses Data Protection Commission which applies to GDPR in Ireland.

InteleTravel staged its successful 2022 conference in Belfast last October and since then, interest in the group has been growing.

InteleTravel, which operates in the UK, US, Mexico and throughout the Caribbean, has further expansion plans.

The next stage includes Europe, Canada and beyond.

“We now have a great opportunity to encourage this new pipeline of talent into the business and nurture them,” said InteleTravel UK director Tricia Handley-Hughes.

“Our partners are excited at the prospect of potential new revenue streams.”

InteleTravel has reported a strong start to 2023 in the UK, with bookings up 41% in January and 35% in February.
