Travel industry financial failure insurances provider International Passenger Protection has recruited a sales and marketing manager.
Michael Ward formerly managed the International Association for Student Insurance Services, based in Amsterdam and has more than 17 years of travel insurance experience.
Ward’s responsibilities include handling an affiliate program on IPP’s direct sell website www.ProtectMyHoliday.com, which allows consumers to buy financial failure protection online, with a commission going to the referring agent.
Paul McLean, director of international risks at IPP, said: “With the world credit and banking markets in turmoil and uncertain times ahead we are seeing demand for our products increasing ten fold with, for example, scheduled airline failure insurance being one of the most crucial protections taken out by travel agents and tour operators but also the most important addition to travel insurance policies for 2009.”
