Good Food Ireland has been established as the showcase of Irish food, This unique marketing group is driven by good food suppliers and producers who have a belief in quality Irish produce.
In an effort to make the most of the connection between food and tourism, Good Food Ireland:
• Sells hampers filled with the best Iish artisan produce and can be sent as gifts to any part of the world.
• Has B&B’s that only offer the best home-cooked breakfasts
• Provides food-focussed tours of Ireland
• Books restaurants free
• Promotes the link between the artisan food producer and the consumer
All Good Food Ireland members must:
• Demonstrate the link with local artisan partners by highlighting them on menus
• Showcase the taste and flavour of indigenous Irish foods
• Only serve Irish beef and ultimately exclusively use only Irish meats and poultry
• Prioritise the use of the core ingredients of Irish cuisine – lamb, pork, dairy, fish and seafood
• Prioritise and feature Irish potatoes, vegetables and fruits in season
• Support and prioritise home baked, in-house cooking/production, handmade items
The organisation attends food exhibitions all over Europe in an effort to promote Irish food and tourism.
