Island Air goes cash-less
Hard cash is now history at Hawaiian carrier Island Air.
The Honolulu-based airline said it has gone cash-free for all ticket reservations, bag checks and other transactions.
This is to facilitate a more efficient check-in procedure, the airline said.
Bookings can be made at the airport, online at islandair.com or via its call center with major credit and debit cards, including MasterCard, Visa, American Express, JCB and Discover.
Baggage fees are processed at the airport during check-in.
The carrier imposes a $15 charge for bookings by phone or at an airport ticket counter.
Island Air offers regular departures between Honolulu and Lanai, Maui and Kauai.
