Israel celebrates in 2008.

Saturday, 03 Jan, 2008 0

During 2008 Israel celebrates it 60th anniversary on May 8th but the whole of 2008 will be a celebration of a nation which is 60 years young and a land as old as human history.

Israel’s fundamental attraction is a land which has weathered the historical storms of over 25 civilizations jostling for control. Israel is the spiritual epicentre of four great faiths; Judaism, Christianity, Islam and the Bahai faith.

Scenically Israel is blessed with tremendous variety of incredible scenery squeezed into a country which fits into Tasmania three times.

Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centre has Australia’s largest selection of Israel programs, with GMTC’s Egypt brochure offering 6 pages of Israel options, more than any Australian wholesaler.

GMTC’s Israel programs range from a two night hotel pack from $404 pp twin share to the 8 day Israel heritage Tour, Bible Tour and Israel Splendours Tour.

In 2008 The Israel Splendours Tour (8 Days) which is normally priced from $1245 pp share twin will attract a 10% discount for tours after April 1st 2008 provided the tour is paid for by 31 March 2008.

GMTC’s Israel tours combine with Jordan and Egypt. GMTC’s 18 Day escorted  2008 Australian Light Commemorative Tour will combine Israel with ANZAC Day in Turkey, a taste of Jordan and Dubai and will join Prime Minister Kevin Rudd on 28 April 2008 to unveil the statue in Beersheba which honours the 800 Australian Light horsemen who captured the city in October 1917 in history’s last successful horse cavalry charge. A charge which altered the history of the entire Middle East.
