Istria’s interior gets its first wellness center
Brtonigla, a small town situated in Istria’s interior around five kilometers from the coast, now has its first little wellness center. The center is located within the small, family-run San Rocco Hotel.
Guests at this year-round hotel can now enjoy swimming in an indoor pool, relaxing in the sauna or with massage treatments, or try numerous other face and body care treatments.
Hotel San Rocco is an old family estate converted into an exclusive tourist complex, its amenities and service meeting the standards expected by modern European tourists.
In addition to the accommodation offered and the new wellness center, the hotel has a restaurant located in what was once the wine cellar. It provides a culinary repast that makes use of seasonal specialties such as truffles, mushrooms and many typical Istrian specialties made of fish, prosciutto and pasta, accompanied by a wide range of regional and international wines stored in the hotel’s wine cellar.
Restaurant San Rocco is among the best of what Istrian and Croatian gastronomy has to offer – it has been included in renowned national and international wine & gastro guides, and has received numerous awards.
In addition to the above amenities, the hotel has a small conference room, an aperitif bar, a box for dogs (welcome in the hotel), an outdoor swimming pool and a private park. As the hotel is located in natural surroundings, bike rental is available at the hotel.
