Italian responsible tourism prize announced

Italian trade paper reveals September event to be held at WTE Padua
With the sponsorship of Trenitalia, ENIT, FIAVET and UFTAA, the Responsible Tourism Italy prize has been initiated by L’Agencia di Viaggi – Italy’s travel trade professional journal.
The prize is to be awarded at WTE (World Heritage Tourism Exhibition) which is to be held this year in Padua from 19th – 21st September and is supported by UNESCO.
The Responsible and Sustainable tourism events and the prize presentations will take place on September 20th.
Said Cristina Ambrosini, publisher of L’Agencia di Viaggi, "This prize will recognize and support people and businesses that, in Italy and in the world, contribute to the creation of a range of responsible tourism products organized and booked in travel agencies, and online. We have already received more than 50 entries in four categories: Travel Agencies, Tour Operators, Hospitality Providers and public and private tourism organizations.
L’Agenzia di Viaggi is also organising a special prize for cultural tourism at WTE in association with UNESCO.
