It’s Skidget Time!
Tourism Victoria’s ski site, www.skivic.com, has just launched the ‘Skidget’ – a new online widget that provides regularly updated snow conditions, temperatures and lift information for Victoria’s alpine resorts.
The Skidget can be found at the skivic homepage (www.skivic.com). As a self-contained web widget, the Skidget can be emailed to friends, added to a users Facebook profile (where it comes up as a facebook application), or easily added to many other websites including Myspace, Vista, Live, Yahoo, personal blogs, resort sites and skivic.com itself.
This can be done by clicking on the ‘get and share’ link below the main Skidget on the skivic homepage.
By clicking on it, visitors are then taken through to a page containing separate Skidget for each one of Victoria’s ski resorts – Dinner Plain, Hotham, Mt Baw Baw, Mt Buller, Lakes Mountain, and Falls Creek and Mt Stirling.
The Skidget was designed and developed by Next Digital, is powered by ski report data from ski.com.au.
The Skidget is fully supported and funded by all of Victoria’s Alpine Resorts via the Board of Alpine Resorts Tourism (BART).
