It’s the final countdown to British Travel Awards
Consumer voting in the 2014 British Travel Awards will close on September 30, giving companies shortlisted for a coveted award just a couple more weeks for a last push for support.
This year companies in the running can check out how they were placed on the leaderboard on August 27 – these were the last ratings to be published before the winners are announced at the Gala Awards ceremony being held in London on November 26.
BTA’s chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: "Shortlisted companies have been doing a sterling job with their lobbying and marketing campaigns to encourage votes from their happy clients and the voting count for some awards is very, very close.
"A last minute surge of votes could, however, change the leaderboard significantly. Historically, these last two weeks make all the difference in the voting stats."
For the next two weeks, BTA’s outdoor advertising partner – Exterion Media – is running an animated ad campaign across the major central London underground stations with cross platform advertising to encourage commuters to place their votes.
Consumers are also being encouraged to vote by the chance to win travel prizes valued at more than £30,000.
