Jail for Aussie tourist…..in Wales!
Wales On Sunday reports that an Australian tourist whose cash ran out yesterday began sampling Welsh hospitality of a different kind – in jail.
Karli Penberthy, 24, from Adelaide, had run up food and accommodation bills of nearly £1,300, magistrates heard.
She pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud involving two hotels, a bed and breakfast and a youth hostel and to stealing a bank card and purse.
She was jailed for 56 days.
