Japan Airlines is adding two more China routes after inking a codeshare agreement with Shanghai Airlines.

It will offer codeshare flights operated by Shanghai Airlines from Osaka to Shanghai Pudong, and between Toyama and Shanghai Pudong.

Flights begin on January 17.

JAL flies nonstop to Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian and Guangzhou, as well as several times a day to Shanghai.

Shanghai Airlines is a China Eastern Airlines subsidiary and has grown its network to about 80 cities out of Shanghai Pudong and Shanghai Hongqiao International airports.

By the end of the first quarter of 2020, JAL will serve Shanghai five times a day from the two Tokyo airports.
