James Villa Holidays appoints MD
Alan MacLean has been appointed managing director of James Villa Holidays.
He joins from Archers Holidays and the river cruise company Avalon Waterways where he was managing director.
Before that he held senior roles at Thomas Cook, Saga Holidays and Shearings.
"James Villas is a very special company, which I have been an admirer of for many years," he said.
"It is at a very exciting phase in its development, and I’m hugely looking forward to playing my part in its continued success".
MacLean is an Arsenal season ticket holder and has been married to his wife Elaine for more than 30 years.
Geoff Cowley, of parent company Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK, added: "We are absolutely delighted that Alan has agreed to take over the leadership at James Villas. He brings with him a wealth of tour operating experience from both the mainstream and specialist sectors, and will be a very welcome addition to my senior leadership team".
