Japan Airlines renews partnership with Sabre
Japan Airlines has inked a renewed long-term distribution agreement with Sabre Corp.
The updated agreement allows the airline to leverage Sabre’s group booking tools for the first time as JAL looks to secure more high-volume group business.
This will help drive efficiency and expand the airline’s reach, Sabre says.
"Innovative Sabre solutions will help propel the airline to new heights of efficiency, improve profitability and enhance the guest experience. We are excited to distribute Japan Airlines’ content through Sabre’s leading global travel marketplace," said Rakesh Narayanan, Sabre’s vice president, of airline business.
JAL fare content will be accessible to more than 400,000 Sabre-connected agents globally.
"Growing our international consumer base is central to Japan Airlines’ expansion plan. We are confident that our renewed agreement with Sabre will provide us with the innovative solutions needed to reach our objectives and service our global customers," said Yoriyuki Kashiwagi, executive officer of passenger sales at Japan Airlines.
JAL has a fleet of more than 230 aircraft, connecting cities in 56 countries and regions through its codeshare partner network.
