Japan Airlines suspends Narita-Paris service
Japan Airlines is to suspend its daily Tokyo Narita to Paris service, blaming a drop in demand following last month’s terror attacks in the French capital.
The airline said average load factors have plummeted from 80% to 40% on the route since the gun and grenade attacks on November 13 which killed 130 people.
JAL is stopping the service from January 12 to February 29 and said it will then decide whether to reinstate it.
Instead, the airline will focus on its daily Tokyo Haneda-Paris service, which has also seen a drop in demand with load factors down from 90% to 60%.
