Japan reopening to foreign tourists
Japan is set to finally permit foreign tourists back in to the country. It will be on a gradual trial basis. Small groups may be allowed in starting later this month, according to government sources.
Further talks are planned to set the specific conditions for it to begin. It is expected to start with just a few hundred tourists before gradually relaxing restrictions further from June.
Currently, Japan allows entry for some business travellers, students and certain workers.
