X-Factor losers Jedward have enraged the travel agent community by starring in an advert that suggests clients pay more for holidays bought through the trade.
The ad, for Travelsupermarket.com, features comedian Omid Djalili asking the Irish pair as they lounge by a poolside hotel how much they paid for their holiday.
One answers with a figure a couple of hundred pounds higher than the other and reveals his purchase was through an agent whereas his brother’s was through the website.
Now Travelsupermarket may face an investigation by the Advertising Standards Agency after TTA Worldchoice members expressed annoyance and Advantage boss John McEwan said he would take the issue up with Travelsupermarket.com
Meanhwhile, Travelsupermarket.com said the advert was “tongue-in-cheek” and simply meant to highlight the importance of price comparison when hunting for a holiday.
