Jersey creates new insurance policy to replace reciprocal health agreement
Jersey Tourism launched a travel insurance policy for independent visitors to the island after the demise of the UK Reciprocal Health Agreement.
The tourist board has been working together with the States Insurers, Rossboroughs, and specialist travel insurance company, PJ Hayman, to secure a policy which will provide cover for all visitors to the island.
“We were concerned by the lack of insurance companies able to provide cover for the independent traveller to the Channel Islands,†said Jersey Tourism director David de Carteret.
“A high proportion of companies define Jersey as part of the UK. Therefore, when the policy is used for travel outside of the UK, the Channel Islands are effectively excluded.â€
