Jet Airways adding Europe flights
India’s Jet Airways is expanding its footprint in Europe with new routes and additional flights.
From October 29, 2017, new direct routes will connect Bengaluru and Chennai to its European gateways in Amsterdam daily and five times a week to Paris, respectively.
Also kicking off on the same date, Jet is adding a new daytime service between Mumbai and London Heathrow, its third daily service to the UK capital.
Jet Airways says the London addition improves connectivity to North America in collaboration with codeshare partners Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic, offering transatlantic connections to up to 14 destinations in the US.
The airline will use three-class Boeing 777-300ER planes to London and Airbus A330 aircraft on the Paris and Amsterdam routes.
"Our new non-stop services will help us cater to the growing international traffic from/to Bengaluru and Chennai. Moreover, guests choosing to travel with us will experience the best inflight hospitality," said Jayaraj Shanmugam, chief commercial officer.
Dozens of addition frequencies were also announced for its winter schedule including a second daily service between New Delhi and Singapore and more flights to the Middle East including Doha, Kuwait and a New Delhi-Riyadh service.
