Jet Airways invites passengers to bid for seat upgrades
Indian airline Jet Airways is the latest carrier to give passengers the opportunity to bid for upgrades to premiere or first class.
Passenger with confirmed economy or premiere bookings can bid on the Jet Airways’ website for upgrades to premiere or first class seats, using the ‘manage my booking’ tab.
Offers must be submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
The online auction is available on all Jet Airways’ routes, including those from London Heathrow.
An updated e-ticket will be sent to each winning bidder.
"If your booking is eligible for an upgrade, you will receive an email invitation to bid or purchase instantly seven days before departure. Only successful bids will be charged," the airline said.
The airline also has an Instant Upgrade scheme, which allows for instant confirmation of upgrades for a fixed fee.
