JetBlue launching DC-Nantucket summer service
JetBlue is launching its 12th departure from Washington Reagan National to Nantucket, Mass in time for summer.
The new non-stop flights launch June 19, 2015, and operate on weekends through September 6, 2015.
JetBlue will use 100-seat Embraer E190 aircraft on the route and will be the largest planes serving Nantucket Memorial Airport.
JetBlue has steadily increased its schedules at Washington Reagan since launching the first flight in 2010.
"We are excited to add yet another non-stop flight to our growing list of destinations from Reagan National, particularly one that features the sea and sand amid this week’s snow and freezing temperatures," said Robert Land, JetBlue’s SVP, government affairs.
"Customers in the DC-area love the convenience of this airport, and now we will provide them with a direct route to one of the most popular summer destinations in the Northeast."
JetBlue is offering introductory fares to kick off the new service valid for bookings made today only from $75 one way.
