JetBlue seeks approval for Singapore Airlines codeshare pact
JetBlue is continuing its quest to snap up top tier international codeshare partners as it seeks regulatory approval for an agreement with Singapore Airlines.
The initial phase of the pact would give JetBlue customers access to five Singapore Airlines routes in Europe and Asia.
Singapore Airlines’ passengers would in turn be able to book through tickets to 16 of JetBlue’s US destinations.
"Singapore Airlines is a world-class airline renowned for its superior customer service and product offering and JetBlue customers will have access to many more destinations around the globe," said JetBlue president Robin Hayes.
This is the second codeshare agreement announced by JetBlue in as many weeks following a similar agreement with Turkish Airlines.
In the last two years ‘New York’s hometown airline’ has also added Aer Lingus, Qatar Airways and South African Airways to its codeshare roster.
The carrier has also expanded an existing partnership agreement with Dubai based Emirates.
