JetBlue to sell semi-private jet travel with JetSuite codeshare
JetSuite and major financial backer JetBlue have announced a first-of-its-kind hybrid airline codeshare partnership.
Starting on May 1, 2018, JetBlue places its ‘B6’ airline code on JetSuiteX -operated flights, which operate between Burbank, Concord and Oakland in California and Las Vegas.
It is the first ever codeshare agreement between a major US carrier and a semi-private small jet operator.
JetSuiteX operates to and from small private air terminals at the airports it serves.
That means no lengthy TSA screening lines as passengers can show up 20 minutes before departure and board the aircraft in minutes.
Corporate customers can now book JetSuiteX flights directly on JetBlue.com.
"We are delighted to introduce even more people to the JetSuiteX experience and to provide new options to JetBlue customers in their West Coast travels in an exciting new way through this partnership with JetBlue," said Alex Wilcox, CEO of JetSuiteX.
"This agreement marks an important milestone as we enhance the distribution and availability of JetSuiteX into traditional airline channels. We are proud to be partnered with the iconic JetBlue Airways."
JetBlue serves nine airports in California but the codeshare pact does not yet include travel between JetBlue arrival at mainline airports and JetSuiteX’s private terminals.
