JetBlue is upgrading its service to Grenada from New York to a daily operation.

The carrier will add two additional round trips on Wednesdays and Fridays from June 16.

The service currently runs five times a week.

The Grenada Tourism Authority announced the news to the media at CHTA’s Caribbean Travel Marketplace.

"We’re seeing a lot of demand from travelers in the Northeast, so we’re thrilled JetBlue will bring much-needed lift to the destination," said Patricia Maher, CEO of Grenada Tourism Authority, in a written release.

"New York is one of our largest markets and we’re confident the island will see a domino effect across our tourism industry.""
