JetBlue’s Boston-London Gatwick route takes off
JetBlue’s long awaited service from Boston’s Logan International Airport to London Gatwick has taken flight.
The daily nonstop service meets demand as London is among the most requested destinations from Boston, JetBlue says.
New service from Boston joins the airline’s New York-JFK routes to both Heathrow and Gatwick.
The carrier plans to grow its transatlantic footprint with a second daily service to Gatwick as well as launching Heathrow flights from BOS.
“Our London service from New York has been an incredible success and we are thrilled to finally bring this service to our Boston customers,” said CEO Robin Hayes.
“Adding this nonstop service to Gatwick will only make us more relevant in our New England focus city and introduce JetBlue to a largely unserved market.”
JetBlue operates flights from Gatwick’s North Terminal.
“The addition of JetBlue’s Boston route is fantastic news for passengers and businesses across London and the south-east,” said Jonathan Pollard, Chief Commercial Officer, Gatwick Airport.
