Jetstar getting Aussie kids to design new environmental program logo

Sunday, 31 Aug, 2007 0

In preparation for its new environmental program launch, Jetstar is calling on the children of Australia to help design a logo for the new program, with kids invited to hand draw a picture of what they want their environment to look like when they grow up.

Jetstar is in the final planning stages for an environmental initiative that will provide its passengers with the option to offset their share of the carbon emissions produced by air travel. The program will be unveiled in the near future with the winning picture set to play an important role.

The promotion is being run as part of Channel Seven’s The Morning Program, with the competition officially launched yesterday and closing on Friday 7 September 2007.

Entries will be judged by Jetstar and the winner will receive a fantastic holiday for up to four people to five of Australia’s top World Heritage listed sites, including;

** The Sydney Opera House

** Fraser Island

** The Great Barrier Reef

** Kakadu National Park and;

** The Tasmanian Wilderness.

The total prize is worth almost $18,000 and the winning artist importantly will have their drawing included in the new program.

Entry is open to all children aged 3 to 12 across Australia.  Parents and teachers are encouraged to get their children to participate to highlight the importance of sustaining the environment.

Entry forms can be downloaded from www.jetstar.com/environmentalpromotion or from www.yahoo7.com.au/themorningshow.

Completed forms should be sent with the drawings to The Morning Show / Jetstar Environmental Program, 52 Martin Place Sydney NSW 2000.
