John Harding joins online travel firm
Ex-Travelscene sales director and ABTA president John Harding has re-emerged with online hotel booking firm Trustaccommodation.
He has taken the role of sales and marketing director at the company which has been running for a year offering a trade-only web-based booking facility to more than 1,500 hotels.
Mr Harding was forced to stand down as ABTA president last year after short break company Travelscene collapsed.
He takes up his new position on March 1 and will head a team of six including product manager Simon Barnes and sales and marketing manager Andy Baker.
Mr Harding said: “I accepted the role as the company clearly embraces the key factors for successful trading in the current travel environment.”
He stressed that the company offered full financial protection for all customers.
Trustaccommodation is a member of the Travel Trust Association, and offers protection by placing clients’ money in a trust fund until the customer has travelled and the hotel is paid.
“The range of product is competitively priced and is being constantly updated so we can act very quickly to consumer trends and demand,” said Mr Harding.
Trustaccommodation director Haim Perry said: “His expertise and profile will will ensure that Trustaccommodation is firmly at the forefront of all minds in the travel trade trade as the leader in accommodation-onlu booking. We’re confident that with him at the helm of an already strong team, Trustaccommodation will go from strength to strength after an extremely successful first year of operation.”
