Jordan’s message to tourists: We’re safe
Jordan’s tourism sector has moved to distance itself from the political turmoil in Egypt.
It says the travel trade should not assume that problems in Egypt make neighbouring countries like Jordan unsafe.
Jordan Tourism Board said the country is safe for tourists and several tour operators have substituted Jordan for their cancelled Egyptian programmes.
The president of the Jordan Hotel Association Michel Nazzal said he was concerned that stereotypes of the region could frighten off tourists and cause unwarranted cancellations.
