Jumeirah Group announces new Maldives hotel opening
Luxury hospitality group Jumeirah has announced new island resort Jumeirah Maldives, which will welcome its first guests from 1 October 2021.
Jumeirah Maldives is an all-villa luxury resort on the North Male Atoll, easily reachable by speedboat or seaplane from Malé Airport.
The resort’s architecture and interiors are the work of Singapore design studio, Miaja.
José Silva, Chief Executive Officer of Jumeirah Group, said: "The Maldives is a much-loved getaway for travellers from around the world and Jumeirah Maldives is a destination that delivers on our brand promise of Stay Different."
It offers 67 beach and over-water villas in one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations, all with views of the Indian Ocean.
Amenities include specialty restaurants, a spa with six overwater treatment rooms, and an array of activities including water sports, beach volleyball, tennis and an underwater submarine tour.
It also features a waterpark and indoor play area for kids, as well as an outdoor cinema.
