Kayak.com looks to take on TripAdvisor
Kayak.com has unveiled “aggressive expansion†plans for 2008 as it marks its first year anniversary this week.
The company said it plans to add several employees in Europe to manage business development, advertising sales and marketing throughout Europe and Asia.
It also intends to integrate user reviews to the hotel results page from newly acquired TravelPost.com, part of its purchase of SideStep.com.
It wants to redesign and relaunch TravelPost.com later this year to compete with TripAdvisor.
Kayak.com also plans to enhance the display of results page, add new hotel providers and suppliers and improve usability.
It launched a local site in Italy earlier this month and plans to launch in India later this year.
