Kayak launches site for all hotels

Sunday, 19 Oct, 2005 0

Kayak.com launched its “Every Hotel on Earth” program.

Said Steve Hafner, CEO and co-founder:

“Consumers are entitled to see all of the estimated 300,000 hotels worldwide, not just the 15% that are marketed through traditional online agency sites.”

The new program is the “most comprehensive travel site for hotels on the Web,” according to Hafner.

To add a hotel, users click on a special “Tell us” link from the hotel homepage or in kayak’s section on hotels. Any hotel can be added for no charge.

The basic hotel listing includes name, address and contact information, lodging type and the Web address. Hoteliers can pay $99 annually for a premium listing that goes beyond basic amenities.

Kayak expects to have more than 100,000 hotels in its inventory by the end of the year.
