KDS to supply self-booking solutions for Unilever UK
European travel management solutions provider KDS is rolling out its self-booking technology to Unilever in the UK.
The multinational manufacturer implemented the self-booking tool, KDS Corporate, in the Netherlands in 2003 and, as a result, has achieved £1 million in annual savings.
KDS said Unilever Netherlands was able to achieve an adoption rate of 83% by the end of the pilot phase, exceeding the company’s expectations.
Based on these results, Unilever will now bring KDS Corporate to its UK offices and continues to investigate its use in other European locations.
KDS Corporate is a global solution built for worldwide markets, supporting 11 languages and more than 170 currencies.
It uses multiple travel information sources, including GDS, a supplier site, and web based information, and gives direct access to clients’ negotiated fares, hotel rates and airline schedules.
