King tipped to take over at CNG
CNG chief operating officer Phil King has emerged as the front runner to take over from Finbarr Power who has quit as chief executive.
King will take the role on an acting basis but said he is keen to make the position permanent.
“I am quite open to it but there is a lot on the agenda,” he said.
Power resigned from the technology company “to pursue other interests” – which include the possible acquisition of the business to consumer division which CNG has decided to offload.
King insisted the departure was amicable.
CNG, in announcing it was selling its B2C division, also admitted its 2005 results would be below expectations.
