KLM and Delta expand codeshare
SkyTeam group members KLM and Delta Air Lines are expanding their transatlantic codeshare partnership this winter.
The new agreement from Sunday will give the Dutch carrier codeshare access to 29 additional destinations in the Delta network, via the US airline’s hubs at Atlanta and New York JFK.
The new destinations include 28 cities in Delta’s domestic network, as well as Chilean capital Santiago via Atlanta. Sixteen of the 28 US destinations are new to KLM.
KLM’s alliances senior vice president Hans de Roos said: “Thanks to our SkyTeam membership, we can regularly expand the KLM network for our customers by extending codesharing with fellow SkyTeam members.
“After initiating codesharing with Delta in July of this year, we are now taking the next important step in this co-operative venture.”
