KLM to expand Internet check in
KLM will launch Internet check in at Newcastle Airport from July 1 and confirmed plans to roll out the service across its UK regional network within 12 months.
The service, offered for the first time in the UK at London City earlier this year, allows passengers to check in online up to one our before departure, print off a boarding card and choose their seat.
KLM general manager in the UK Vincent Knoops said the procedure will make life easier for passengers and reduce check in waiting times at airports.
“We have has a positive response to the launch of the Internet check in service at London City,” he said.
“Establishing Internet check in represents another enhancement to KLM’s portfolio of e-services and the fact that Newcastle can now take advantage is a great development for our regional network.”
KLM flies form 14 UK airports and said it will expand the service across its regional network “over the course of the next year”.
