Knife horror at beachfront resort

A German holidaymaker killed a Swiss man and then stabbed a British woman before turning the knife on himself. According to the Daily Mail, Lisa Seaman was staying at the Malindi Tropical Resort, Kenya, where she had been married in a beachfront ceremony. But as she walked back to her room after an afternoon’s sunbathing with her husband, she was attacked by Olaf Klinkusch. He had reportedly already stabbed a Swiss tourist to death in the hotel’s bar, and then stabbed the woman in the stomach. The newspaper reports that Klinkusch then locked himself in a storeroom and committed suicide by cutting his own throat. Mrs Seaman’s husband Mark is quoted as saying: “He was blocking our path but I have no idea what he was saying. He was shouting something in German or English but I couldn’t understand him. Then he took a knife from a bag he had on his shoulder and stabbed it at Lisa’s stomach. It was a completely unprovoked attack.” Mrs Seaman, from Lowestoft, Suffolk, is said to be in a stable condition following emergency surgery. Report by Tim Gillett, News From Abroad Ltd
