Centara Hotels & Resorts will show you around the island

Bangkok, Thailand – In the Gulf of Thailand lays one of Thailand’s largest islands, Koh Samui, where travellers can find palm tree lined beaches, cultural experiences and a variety of adventures through mountainous rainforests and national park. There are activities to suit any traveller’s needs.
Let Centara Hotels & Resorts show you around the island and share some of the amazing activities that you can find. With three distinct properties on the island, Centara has you covered.
We will start our journey at Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui, a charming beachfront property. Situated along the 7-kilometre powder-sand Chaweng Beach, Centara Grand has an extensive range of accommodation options as well as host of facilities and activities making this property perfect for the most tranquil romantic escape or an adventurous family holiday.
During the day Chaweng Beach offers a number of water sports at the resort’s doorstep, while the vibrant nightlife will keep you entertained after the sun goes down. Chaweng Road has dining options galore, from seafood restaurants to eateries serving casual fare, and the island’s largest choice of bars and clubs.
Venture to a nearby wat, Wat Plai Laem, which is a modern temple that has become popular for its giant white 18-arm image of Guanyn, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. This active and living temple is surrounded by a lake that is teeming with fish, adding to its tranquil ambience.
Our next stop is to explore Centara Villas Samui and the surrounding area that flutters with activities, which includes the Butterfly Garden. Located on Natien Beach in South Samui on 575 hectares of land, the resort is just 15 minutes to the resort life of Lamai Beach, 30 minutes to Chaweng Beach, and 27 kilometres to Samui International Airport.
Looking for a little cultural exploration? Then you are in luck as Thailand’s rich Buddhist culture is apparent all over the island, and one of its most revered landmarks and must-visit destinations is Samui’s Big Buddha. The 11-metre high image can be seen from afar and from the air as you fly in to Samui. The Big Buddha is integral to Wat Phra Yay.
With some of the most renowned diving and snorkelling spots, our last stop on Koh Samui is at our Centra Coconut Beach Resort Samui, located on the secluded Thong Tanote Beach, on the southwestern tip of the island. The resort is a 15-minute drive from popular Lamai Beach and Nathon Pier where ferries disembark from the mainland.
Head out for some snorkelling to Koh Tao, also known as the turtle island as its shape resembles one. Koh Tao’s little sister island, Ko Nangyuan, is a private island that consists of three smaller islands connected together by a beautiful sandbank. Together, these islands form three bays with crystal clear water and no strong current, white sandy beaches, a variety of colourful fish and fascinating coral reefs that offer optimal conditions for snorkelling.
Don’t forget to indulge in a little pampering, especially all of the adventures that Koh Samui has to offer. Each of our properties has one of our award winning spas, SPA Cenvaree or Cense by SPA Cenvaree where you can balance mind, body and soul, which is the final piece of an exceptional trip.
