Korean Air adds three China routes
Korean Air is looking north to China to fill the schedule gaps after Korean-Japan travel demand plunged.
The airline has significantly cut capacity or suspended flights to Japan following the fallout from a trade and diplomatic spat.
China will take up most of the slack, with three China routes announced from Inceon.
Later this month Korean Air begins flying to Nanjing four times a week, to Zhangjiajie three times weekly and twice a week to Hangzhou.
The national carrier also announced seven weekly flights from Incheon to Clark, Philippines.
It kicks off the same day as Nanjing flights – October 27.
Korean Air plans to expand services in China, Southeast Asia and Oceania as the Korea-Japan dispute shows no sign of ending.
It recently signed a codeshare partnership with Royal Brunei Airlines.
