Kuoni confirms redundancies
Kuoni confirmed today that four staff have been made redundant as a result of the reorganisation of its trade call centre at its Dorking head office.
One other member of staff has chosen to take early retirement due to the reshuffle.
The operator said it had found alternative positions within the business for the remaining 18 call centre staff.
In place of the call centre, Kuoni has created a new Partner Service Hub, which will handle calls only from key accounts and partner stores. It will be staffed by seven and will be up and running by May 1.
All other travel agent enquiries will be handled by staff based in Kuoni stores, supported by a central trade operations team.
In addition, the operator has appointed Brad Bennetts to the new role of national sales manager to focus on non-partner travel agent relationships.
Reporting to sales director, Helen Roberts, Bennetts will join Kuoni on April 22 from Africa Collection where he was sales manager for more than 10 yearS.
Roberts said: "Brad is widely respected in the trade and already has fantastic relationships with many of our key agents.
"He’s got great ideas, energy and commercial drive and we’re very much looking forward to him joining our team and representing Kuoni within the trade to build on new and existing relationships."
Katie Daniels will report to Bennetts and Lucy Ellingham will continue to work closely with Kuoni’s partner stores reporting directly into Roberts.
