Kuoni restructures for future growth
Kuoni has restructured to focus on three worldwide divisions following its recent acquisition and investment.
The UK tour operation will come under Outbound Europe, together with its European counterparts and Octopus travel.
Global Travel Services will incorporate Gullivers Travel Associates (GTA) which Kuoni bought in May this year, the existing Kuoni Destination Management team and the meetings, incentives and conference market.
The third division – Emerging markets and specialists – will accommodate the company’s activities in Asia (India, China and Hong Kong) and Russia.
The new corporate structure will be in place by 1 October.
“Combining our various business activities all over the world into three new divisions is a logical consequence of our growth strategy, our acquisition activity and a result of our investment and cost-reduction programme, which will end in 2011,” says Peter Rothwell, CEO of the Kuoni Group.
