Last push for BTA votes

Monday, 15 Sep, 2016 0

Consumer voting in the 2016 British Travel Awards closes on September 30.

Organisers are urging companies nominated for an award to do one last push for votes.

Companies in the running were able to see how they were placed on the BTA leaderboard on August 29.

These were the last ratings to be published before the winners are announced at the Gala Awards ceremony in London on November 23.

BTA chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: "The BTA leaderboard showed how everyone was doing in August – who was in the lead and how far behind the competitors were.

"Shortlisted companies have been doing a sterling job with their lobbying and marketing campaigns to encourage votes from their happy clients and the voting count for some awards is incredibly close. A last minute surge of votes could, however, change the leaderboard significantly. Historically, the final days make all the difference in the voting stats!"

The awards, verified by Deloitte, are the only travel industry accolade voted for exclusively by the travelling public.

To book seats or tables to attend the 2016 British Travel Awards, click on the ‘Awards Night’ tab on the home page of the website.

Guests can choose a table or a seat, and even check out who’s booked the neighbouring tables.
