Lastminute.com MD Jones leaves company
Lastminute.com has confirmed that UK managing director Mark Jones is leaving after three years to pursue a new career.
His expected departure follows a shake-up by the online retailer into B-2-C and B-2-B pan-European divisions last month (see previous TravelMole story).
Jones joined lastminute.com in 2004 when it purchased OTC (Online Travel Corporation) and he managed both the UK market and led the group’s business-to-business operations.
CEO Ian McCaig said: “Mark and I have worked extremely closely together over the past three years. He has been a pivotal figure in building the company during this time. I want to both thank Mark and wish him well for the future”.
