Le Meridien adds agent points
Le Meridien has expanded its travel agent incentive program, the luxury global hotel chain announced. Since the program was launched in 2001, agents taking part in the GuestBook program have received an additional 2% commission on a range of eligible bookings. In addition, their agencies received another 2% extra commission. But now agents can earn extra points in the Le Meridien frequent-stayer program, Le Meridien Moments. Agents will earn points to be redeemed for accommodations, flights and cruises. Le Meridien says its GuestBook now has 20,000 members in 36 countries. Sales under the program were up 19% last year, compared with non-GuestboBook sales, the company said. Typical room rates at Le Meridien properties for March are upwards of $200.
