Leadership revamp at Travel Leaders Group
Ninan Chacko has been named new CEO of Travel Leaders Group following an executive reshuffle.
He replaces Barry Liben, who has stepped aside to return to running Tzell Travel which was acquired by Travel Leaders in 2008.
Liben will remain a Travel Leaders board member.
"I’ve decided to step away from my role as CEO for all of Travel Leaders Group and instead devote my energies and attention exclusively to Tzell as its CEO," Liben said in a letter addressed to staff.
Chacko returns to the travel industry after a six-year stint as chief executive of PR Newswire.
He was previously COO of Worldspan and spent 13 years at Sabre in several leadership roles including senior vice president of marketing and strategy for Sabre Travel Network.
Travel Leaders Group brands include Travel Leaders, Nexion, Vacation.com, Tzell Travel Group, and Protravel, with a combined team of about 45,000 agents.
